Staying on a dead end is madness. You know it. But your reptile brain keeps you down. Quiet. Without moving. There are too many dangers outside the tribe. Too much fear. This is the reason why: People stay in marriages where there is no longer any love People stay at dead-end jobs People hang on to old clothes and things they never use People stay in towns where they have no future People stay friends with people who hold them back Too comfy to move. Too comfy to admit that the absence of movement is killing you silently… but faster than you think. If you don’t practice a language, you lose it in a couple of years. If you don’t do any sport, your muscles atrophy in months. If you don’t use your brain, the absence of creativity, ideas, motivation will fill your day to day in months. This is why is so critical to be exposed to new stimuli. Exposed to people that challenge you. Expose to difficult tasks. Exposed to new things. Complaining is not movement. Taking actions, getting into something new is. Below, some notes of movement for your brain.

Small transaction costs. Sorry. That last one was a joke. Scotland. 2002 Audit Scotland reviewed six school PFI projects. For Glasgow, it reported around £12 million in combined public and private sector set-up and advisory costs. Against £212 million in construction. For West Lothian? Around £2 million....
Before you tell a difficult public client: “You can’t do this without me.” Consider a small building in Sydney. White roof. Quite photogenic. You may have seen it. February 1966. Jørn Utzon, the architect of the small building, met the NSW Minister for Public Works, Davis Hughes. There were unpaid fees. A dispute over funding for prototypes. And a relationship that had already gone thoroughly to hell. Utzon threatened to quit. Hughes replied: “You are always threatening to quit...” And both...
