The worst thing that can happen to a man, woman or chair is becoming civilized. And preparing a PowerPoint. And when you point it out to him (to her, to it, to them) he tells you that “it is what it is,” that “what can you do,” that “life is like this,” and that it’s not that bad, really. It’s fine. Of course. It’s fine for someone who thinks that kind of life “isn’t that bad.” Something only the gods could achieve. And investing in himself feels insane. Holidays. Massages. Personal trainer. Mentors. Trainers. Advisors. Personal assistant. Everything. Much better to do everything for others. Of course not. But the real reason he won’t invest in himself is the possibility of failure. That’s unbearable, intolerable, unacceptable. Hell no. The civilized man seeks safety. My mission in life is to uncivilize you. At least a little. Make the most of this Saturday and wear a loincloth. My Mentorship PD 1: If you liked this email, don't keep it in secret and forward it to a friend. And the risk of these guys awarding a several billions dollars contract by the weight of the paper brought in the...

Recently, I had the opportunity to provide some advice to someone living in Africa. He is advising the Government on a new series of PPP. The next target is the rehabilitation and transformation of two old buildings into landmark spaces to be used by the Government at 60%. The rest… lot of flexibility. Maybe too much. And lots of unknowns. To make this project attractive, or at least palatable we should provide to the proponents either access to the buildings so that they can satisfy...
